VASSALOTTI ASSOCIATES ARCHITECTS, L.L.P., formerly Lama & Vassalotti, Architects, is an architectural/engineering firm based in New York.  Founded in 1927 by Alfred A. Lama, the architectural firm has significantly contributed to the physical growth of the New York Metropolitan Area over the past eighty-eight years.  The firm's client base is composed of both the large and the small, public and private, the prominent and the aspiring.

 

Throughout its many years of providing architectural and engineering services, Vassalotti Associates has maintained a sense of balance in its designs and overall endeavors and has embraced new concepts while blending "old ways".

 

Our founder, Alfred A. Lama, is best known as a public servant who was elected to the New York State Assembly in 1942 and served with distinction through 1972.  He was a co-sponsor of the Mitchell-Lama Housing Law, a program which provides affordable housing for thousands of New Yorkers.

 

James E. Vassalotti began his association with the firm in 1927, followed by his son, James E. Vassalotti II in 1971, grandson, Adam J. DiGirolamo in 1982, James E. Vassalotti III in 1994, and Christopher Barbagli in 1996, representing the third generation of the Vassalotti family to enter the field of architecture.  With this continuity comes a commitment to providing continued client satisfaction.
